The Velcro additions on the hot dog style soundlessly pinged off (and got lost) the first time I wore them. I have contacted customer services re: buying replacements but they were unhelpful and disinterested. I find the items that loop round the straps a much more sensible design. I’m now stick with new shoes with two blobs of Velcro on them
